Beginning his career as a writer of fiction, E.Howard Hunt joined the CIA soon after its formation after the end of World War II. He turned his fertile imagination to composing plots for the CIA, notably in Guatemala, where he helped overthrow an elected government, and later in the Bay of Pigs fiasco. Together with Gordon Liddy, he was deeply involved in the political scandal of Watergate, for which he was unrepentant. Throughout his life, he wrote spy fiction. This documentary explores the relationship between his real and his fantasy life.
